It was either a gay club or a gay bar. I had a black gay coworker circa who used to go there. I don't know if the place is still open, but what I do know is that it was frequented by a black gay crowd. From what I have read, seen and heard so far, in most cities blacks and whites have partied largely separately as well as other ethnicity.

If Miami is different then that is cool, I would just like to know miami the years gone by where black gay folk partied. I have never been to a gay club although I am gay, plus I grew up in NY. Gay people in NYC party with their own kind for whatever reason. Would be nice if it was one community but just doesn't happen.

Of course there are people of all races that party with other races but I speak in black. I just read there were lots of bars, the most famous one in calle ocho and 38, the warehouse, a lot of gay bars in the grove and coral way and tons of beaches in MB There were no laws against selling liquour to gays, no raids, so Maimi was a liberal place in that respects.

That was back in the 70's, back then I don't remember seeing any blatant gay bar, or they were discrete, minding their own business. As to blacks, somebody mentioned Culver city.

Oh now I remember a huge Gay bar on south river drive back in the late 80's one of my friends back then was a gay Hispanic guy and a group of us would go there straight and Gay to dance. Again this was mixed and I would see a few black Gay males but it was still very mixed. Also there was the Copa close to ft lauderdale airport and that was a big well known bar.

I will continue my search for black gay establishments or hangout but like someone said I haven't been able to find a city in Miami named Culver city Thanks again for all of your help, I really do appreciate it.
